North Wetherby

After repairing, modernising and rationalising the interior of this fine listed Georgian house, our clients required a swimming pool to be added. Rather than create a further free standing structure, the Planning Department was persuaded to permit the demolition of one courtyard wing to be reconstructed to the same footprint, style and detail but include, housed in a now totally open space, a new 12.5 metre pool, gym and refurbished garden room. The existing stone and roof slate was re-used and the new windows carefully remade to match, to result in a building that looks to all intents and purposes like a conversion rather than a re-build.
